Customer Street! Roll on 2008!

Well the blog may be quiet around this time of year due to the season; people out shopping, on their holidays, gearing up for that wonderful time of year. Well it is quiet on my behalf for a different reason, I’m hibernating. Hibernating to avoid the happiness, tinsle, flashing alice bands and the general nonsense that follows clearly the worst season of them all. So when the dust has settled and we can rest assured that songs by Wizard and Noddy Holder will disappear for another 12 months, you may see me around to train another day. ‘Bar Humbug’ maybe, but my evident seasonal joy, or lack of it, seems to get stronger each year. So whilst the port and pies are being passed around I look forward to a different celebration, a happy new year!

2007 has been a massive year for Customer Street. A long year for me and I’m sure a prosperous one for our customers. We have gone from being a stand alone directory with Ufindus.com, to now having an awesome presence through 3 national directories and also our trade websites such as the builder’s register and driving school register. Even the brand of Customer Street which really only came to the table in March is already getting extremely good press and the results we achieve for our customers speak for themselves. The improvements to our results on search engines has been coupled by a huge investment in our customer support teams. Customer Street has expanded the support teams and we are dedicated to helping our customers improve their websites, enhance their search engine presence and resolve any problems they encounter with the product.

The training team has also been strengthened to improve the quality of calls our staff are making to potential customers and to the after care they receive once they have signed up with us. 2008 promises to be a huge year for the group and with smilelocal and moreuk, our newest directories, starting to feature prominently on the likes of Google and Yahoo, I am confident that we can continue the success we have achieved this year.

2008 will also see Customer Street branch out from the North West for the first time. We will venturing into unchartered waters, Yorkshire!!! Although this is more home from home for me, it will be a great challenge to open up a new office in the new year and we have been greeted with some wonderful publicity for Customer Street from the local press regarding the employment opportunities we will be creating in the area. So all in all it will be another busy year ahead. My priorities are going to centre around the support our customers recieve and the quality of our service. Too many customers are signing up to our package and not seeing or being shown the exposure they are getting; a first page position on one of the UK’s biggest directories Ufindus! Two enhanced listings on smilelocal and moreuk, 2 of the fastest growing search directories! As well as a website that will feature prominently on the major search engines! We know the exposure we give our clients at Customer Street cannot be rivalled and I heard on the radio this morning, “2008 will be the year of the internet”, if that statement proves to be true, it is sure to be a happy new year!

This week in the Customer Street traing department we have been inducting new recruits for 1st line sales for Customer Street offices throughout the north west and our newly opened operations in Huddersfield The main emphasise on the innitial induction is the vast exposure Customer Street achieves for its customers across all windows on the net.
